David & Ali | Pyramid Island Wedding | Jasper National Park
Ali wasn’t always planning for her wedding to be in April, in fact, her family thought she was crazy when she changed the date of her wedding from May to April. They thought she would be trampling through mud in her wedding gown and couldn’t figure out why she’d want to move it up in such short notice.
When she contacted me in a panic, I had a slight idea as to why she’d want her date moved up, but I didn’t want to assume anything. Sure enough, Ali told me she was pregnant with their 3rd child and wanted to make sure she still fit into her dress on her wedding day!
The spring weather treated us well and Ali (and her family) were grateful that the spring runoff didn’t make for a muddy aisle.
Their ceremony was emotional, intimate and sweet. The love this family shared for one another was expressed through many smiles, tears and laughter.
I love doing portrait sessions with couples right after their ceremony. They’ve often spent the entire morning getting ready, feeling nervous, anxious, excited and looking forward to marrying their partner. It gives them the opportunity to spend time with each other and their professional 3rd wheel (that’s me!). The moments after a ceremony have so many emotions giving these portraits a truly authentic feel.
