Derek & Cassidy | Pyramid Island Wedding | Jasper National Park
If there’s one thing I always tell the couples I photograph, it’s to not look at the weather of their wedding day and to be prepared for everything. When planning her spring wedding in the Rockies, Cassidy wasn’t expecting a complete white out snow storm! As she was walking down the bridge to Pyramid Island, the snow was literally blowing sideways. Derek & Cassidy weren’t going to let the weather put a damper on their intimate day, with smiles on, they said “I do” and spent the entire ceremony and portrait session laughing and embracing each other.
Not only was their love for each other present throughout the day, but their love for their fur babies were as well! Many people opt to leave their pets at home for their wedding day but I’m all for making them a part of your day - they are, after all, a huge part of our family! With their tie & collar handmade by Cassidy herself, Ellie & Jasper were two of the cutest guests of the wedding.
After their ceremony, Derek, Cassidy and I went back to the spot Derek proposed to snap a quick photo before heading off to portraits.
During our portrait session together, Cassidy expressed her love for Disney and remarked that she felt like a Disney Princess as she danced through the aspen trees with the snow falling ever so gently around her.
